PROPERTIES AND BENEFITS Derived from Myristica fragrans, of the Myristicaceae family, Nutmeg essential oil has anti-rheumatic and antibacterial properties and has beneficial effects on the gastrointestinal and the nervous systems. • Antioxidant: rich in mineral salts, such as copper, potassium, zinc, iron, calcium, B vitamins as well as vitamin A and C, it has a toning effect on both skin and muscles. • Anti-rheumatic: when massaged, it works to soothe joint and rheumatic pains, thanks to its warming action. Also effective for relaxing and de-stressing stiff muscles. • Pain-relieving: relieves toothache. • Carminative: when massaged, it has a beneficial effect on the gastrointestinal system, counteracting poor digestion, flatulence, dysbiosis and diarrhoea. • Calming: when diffused, it has a positive effect on the central nervous system in cases of anxiety, stress and mood swings. • Relaxing: relaxes tense muscles. HOW TO USE

SUGGESTED USE • Hair lotion: mix 5 drops of Nutmeg e.o. with a tablespoon of green clay, a little warmwater; add 2 drops of Rosemary e.o. to the mix, apply to damp hair and leave for 10 minutes. Rinse-off. •Massage lotion: for the treatment of rheumatism, mix 3 drops of Nutmeg e.o. with a tablespoon of sweetalmond or coconut oil and massage the sore area. • Relaxing bath solution: pour 10 drops of Nutmeg e.o.in a bathtub full of warm water.
